The Urach K’Dejn are an ancient culture of desert dwelling nomads that first developed in the Age of Rust and have kept the majority of their traditional ways intact. The core belief of the Urach K’Dejn is that the world is an illusion and the GOD OF RUST is a capricious and fickle god, who continuously makes changes to the whole of creation, unable to settle upon a satisfying arrangement.

As such, the Urach K’Dejn treat their own lives as illusory. They hold no personal sense of permenent identity, rather, their society is divided into roles which can be inhabited by any member (often cycling through the community with frequency) and are identified by the outfits of the individual. This is made possible by the extensive use of masks within the culture; a child is masked immediately after birth.

This book catalogs an artifact of the Urach K’Dejn: an authentic set of the Vestments of the Low One on High, Teller of New Truths and Keeper of Old Lies ( a similar role to a chief religious figure) Interspersed throughout the photos, for the first time, are excerpts from the Chants of Rust, a collection of mystic sayings used as mantras by the Urach K’Dejn.
